Laundry Maintenance Technician

Minimum Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in English.

• Ability to handle a wide variety of situations and problems.
• Ability to deal effectively with people.
• Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanicals devices, and their uses.
• Knowledge of the operation and care of commercial washers and dryers.
• Ability to safely carry, set-up and climb ladders.
• Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and stand for eight hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Serve as representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests and other members of the community.
• Perform monthly inspection of facility and grounds with supervisor.
• Examine and inspect equipment and maintenance sites to verify safety.
• Ensure an accurate inventory of all parts and materials.
• Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance.
• Maintain an accurate record of production and operational data on specified forms and reports.
• Record scheduled maintenance on equipment based on the manufacturer’s recommendations and operations manual.
• Ensure all entrances are operable at all times and maintained in proper working order.
• Keep machines running on a daily basis, remove jams, and troubleshoot problems.
• Train maintenance personnel regarding laundry methods and operation of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work flexible hours, up to 40 hours per week, seven days per week; in accordance to seasonal needs.
• Work environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, and cold.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are expected in accordance with company policy.
