About the role

Rockville Correctional Facility is a maximum-security institution located in Rockville, Indiana, housing more than 1,200 incarcerated adult females. It also functions as the intake unit for all women entering the Indiana Department of Correction. The facility provides assessments to identify appropriate placement and programming for each individual. Educational and vocational opportunities include cosmetology, parenting support, and a long-standing partnership with Televerde that offers pre- and post-release employment pathways. Staff maintain a structured environment focused on safety, growth, and re-entry preparation. The campus supports a wide range of rehabilitative programming.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and serving meals to inmates
• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the dining hall
• Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the facility
• Assisting with the distribution of mail and packages
• Providing general support to other correctional officers
• Performing administrative tasks such as filing and record keeping
• Assisting with the transportation of inmates
