Laundry Equipment Operator - Beaufort Laundry Plant

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Laundry Operations, this role is responsible for operating and maintaining a minor tunnel, Softrol soil rail system, and Milnor dryer systems. You will monitor computer systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective production of laundry operations.

Pay: $19/hour, weekly pay. Schedule: Weekends are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the minor tunnel, Softrol soil rail system, and Milnor dryers according to established procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Monitor computer systems to track the progress of laundry batches through the tunnel and dryer systems.
• Adjust settings as necessary to achieve optimal results in terms of cleanliness and dryness of laundry.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or escalate to maintenance team as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
• Proven experience in operating industrial laundry equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs quickly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment

This position works in an operations environment with odors and/or dust and cleaning and laundry chemicals. Additionally, this job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.

Travel Requirements: Rarely – on average 5% of travel on a quarterly basis.

Physical Requirements
