Laundry Attendant - Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Year Round

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the cleaning process of hotel linens to ensure guests and hosts experience a clean hotel, all in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company. Responsibilities
- Safely operates commercial washers, dryers, and folding machines, including loading and unloading.
- Measures and administers cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
- Monitors feeder information on washers, ensures all drums are full, and reports irregularities to a supervisor.
- Sets proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
- Operates folders and other laundry equipment in accordance with product specifications.
- Cleans machines and surrounding areas as necessary per shift.
- Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
- Operates laundering equipment to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen, keeping the work area clean and safe.
- Alerts supervisors when equipment stops working properly to ensure smooth laundry operations.
- Programs and operates the ironer, dryers, and washers according to the product load in cycle.
- Sorts all linen that needs processing.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Cleans lint traps in dryers at least twice per shift.
- Pushes and pulls linen carts full of linen.
- Participates in monthly linen inventory.
- Counts and stocks linen shelves.
- Functions in a team atmosphere.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six to 12 months of previous commercial laundry experience preferred.
- Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of onboarding, including background screening and pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting.
- Mobility: Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for the duration of the shift, up to 13 hours.
- Repetitive Movements: Performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms, or other body parts.
- Environmental Conditions: Ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: Strong cognitive skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, processing and retaining information, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Able to stand continuously while moving, lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull repeatedly.
