About the Role

TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marina is a nationally recognized hotel management company operating hospitality assets across all chain scales, from focused-service hotels to luxury resorts and marina properties. As a Laundry Attendant, you will process, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens and other items while ensuring compliance with policies, brand standards, and regulations. You will report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, bed sheets, and other hotel laundry items according to established procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and folding tables.
  • Inspect laundered items for quality, addressing stains, tears, or other issues as needed.
  • Follow specific instructions for handling delicate fabrics or special items to prevent damage.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of clean linens and towels to meet hotel demands, tracking counts and reorder levels.
  • Clean and maintain laundry equipment, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols when operating laundry machinery.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a steady supply of clean linens for guest rooms, restaurants, and event spaces.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of different fabrics, laundering techniques, and proper garment care.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify stains, damage, or quality issues.
  • Basic understanding of laundry equipment and machinery.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Physical fitness to handle repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

Physical work is a primary part of this role, including extended standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. Safety precautions and protective equipment are required.
