About the Role
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a seamless product to internal and external customers while adhering to departmental policies and procedures outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOPs).
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Biltmore policies and procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained.
- Operate pressing equipment following correct settings.
- Sort and inventory discard linen.
- Sort linen for rewash to be reprocessed with rewash formula.
- Assist with sorting wash linen.
- Report any discrepancies with Supervisor / Manager.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education preferred.
- Practical work experience in a similar position preferred.

- Speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Compute accurate mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
- Communicate through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Visually look at a computer for extended periods.
- Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems (most work tasks are performed indoors).
