Schedule
2nd shift (evening position) with weekend availability required. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs, including day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner, making personal connections to ensure they feel welcome and valued.
- Communicate regularly with the Executive and Assistant Executive Housekeeper regarding linen shortages or laundry backups.
- Wash all laundry according to manufacturer instructions, checking for stains, damage, and wear; separate and address problematic items accordingly.
- Dry and fold all laundry, then store clean linens in the appropriate areas of the laundry and storage rooms.
- Ensure sufficient linen is available for the next day’s housekeeping shift.
- Maintain the laundry room and storage rooms by stocking necessary supplies and cleaning equipment (e.g., wiping down machines, dusting, mopping, cleaning lint traps, and filters).
- Report maintenance issues and lost and found items to the Executive or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
- Adhere to all standards set by Suburban Inns and the brand at all times.
- Deliver items to guest rooms as requested by the front desk.
- Clean late checkout rooms as needed.
- Assist with quarterly linen inventory.
- Follow all Suburban Inns processes and exhibit regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret/extract information and perform arithmetic functions.
- Basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Hazcom Training and Bloodborne Pathogen Training (may be completed upon hire).
Uniform and Appearance Guidelines
- Uniform: Provided by the employer; close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the team member.
- Appearance: Hair must be well-groomed. Facial piercings and tattoos not covered by the uniform must be approved by management. Offensive tattoos (based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other sensitive characteristics) must remain covered at all times.
