Laundry

About the role

You will be responsible for the complete laundering of residents’ personal items and table linens under the direction of the Housekeeping Director. You must have full working knowledge of the laundry equipment and proper laundering methods to ensure the highest quality of care for residents’ personal belongings.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from residents.
• Sort laundry and tag appropriately.
• Launder all items appropriately; items requiring dry-cleaning must be labeled, sent to the dry-cleaners, and received on a regular weekly schedule.
• Launder facility linens, dietary aprons, towels, etc.
• Dry laundry appropriately.
• Steam press items as needed.
• Return clean laundry to residents.

Requirements

• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
