Laundry Assistant

About the Role

Solaris HealthCare Pensacola is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team in providing outstanding care to our residents. Located at 8475 University Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32514, we are a proud partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and part of the spirited KARE KREWE of Pensacola.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and orderly handling of resident laundry.
• Pick up, launder, dry, and fold facility laundry (sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, etc.).
• Pick up, launder, dry, fold, and hang residents' personal clothing, returning them to rooms in a neat and orderly manner.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained according to facility maintenance programs and procedures.
• Clean lint baskets frequently and wipe down washers and dryers after each shift.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance department for repairs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
• Keep track of soiled, stained, and tattered items, removing those not approved for further use and replacing them.
• Notify supervisor of depleting stock items.
• Use PPE while changing chemicals and dispose of them properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including housekeeping and floor tech tasks.
• Adhere to dress codes and maintain personal cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.
