Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens
- Ensure clothing and linens are returned to the appropriate resident or department
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry department
- Follow all infection control, safety, and laundry handling procedures
- Assist housekeeping and nursing staff in meeting resident needs
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Compassion and respect for elderly and disabled residents
- Dependable with regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
