Responsibilities
- Meet the laundry needs of the facility and the residents.
- Ensure laundry process completion and delivery of adequate linen levels in a timely manner.
- Assure that all laundry machinery and equipment are in a safe and efficient working condition.
- Mend and iron as necessary.
Requirements
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- The ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
- The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
- A knowledge of laundry practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing laundry functions in the long-term care facility.
