About the role

The Laundry Aide at Valley View Care Center is responsible for various tasks including collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading washing machines, folding clean linen, counting processed linen, delivering clean laundry to assigned units, and cleaning and sanitizing the work area.

Responsibilities

• Collects and sorts soiled linen
• Loads and unloads washing machines and dryers
• Folds clean linen accurately and in a timely manner
• Places clean linen in a delivery cart and delivers to appropriate units
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Effective communication skills with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing excellent, passionate, and innovative care
• Team player who can support team members and get the job done

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role preferred

• Up to $15.35 per hour starting wage, plus $0.85 per hour Hero/Hazard Pay

Schedule

• Full-time positions available, including rotating weekends and some holidays
