Laundry Aide HCC

Job Purpose

Folds and sorts laundry (blankets, sheets, towels etc.) and personal clothing items. Hangs clothes on racks according to name and numbers. Delivers patient/resident’s laundry to designated areas. Ensures that patients/residents clothes are ready to wear, not in disrepair and put in proper place.

Key Responsibilities

Washes and dries clothes and linens. Sorts dry articles according to identification numbers or type. Folds and places items in appropriate storage bin. Operates large filters according to established schedules. Empties washers and dryers as requested/necessary. Understands the proper process for stain removal.

Minimum Education Required

High School Degree preferred.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred qualifications)

Previous experience in healthcare laundering processes.

On-the-job training provided.
