About the role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented laundry aide to support the functions of our nursing home establishment. The laundry attendant will deliver soiled linens to the laundry, sort, wash, dry, fold, and return clean linens to linen closets and resident rooms. They play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Deliver soiled linens to the laundry area
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute clean linens to linen closets and resident rooms
- Consult with patients to discuss supplementary laundering-related services that may be of use to them
- Maintain and care for all textiles to ensure high presentation standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided
