Laundry Aide

About the role

We are Regency Care of Central Oregon, a skilled nursing community centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate individuals to join our team. Starts at $20.00 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of laundering resident clothing and facility linens.
• Fold and distribute clean linens.
• Clean dryer lint screens.
• Inspect mechanical lift slings and sling straps for fraying and wear.
• Keep residents' closet/drawers orderly.
• Minimize infections by following aseptic techniques, including blood-borne pathogens.
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Compassion and interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
