Laundry Aide

Job Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry according to facility procedures.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized and clean laundry area.
• Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Use cleaning chemicals and detergents according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.
• Ensure residents' or patients' personal clothing is properly labeled and returned.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate laundry records when required.
• Assist with other housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
