About the Role

Teach For America offers a full-time, paid, two-year teaching opportunity for college seniors, graduate students, and early-career professionals. As a corps member, you'll teach in an under-resourced public school, build relationships with students and families, and gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of education and broader social issues.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school
  • Build genuine relationships with students and families
  • Navigate barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom
  • Sharpen communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership
  • Work alongside the school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students

Requirements

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study)
  • Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status

Pay

$43,000-$48,000 per year + benefits (salary varies based on teaching region). Teach For America provides a baseline stipend of $3,000–$6,500 for living expenses during summer training, with additional grants and loans available for eligible candidates.
