Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Perform structural assembly, repair and modifications of Telecommunication Satellites, structures or other structures as required to drawing specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to determine repair and modification requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks accurately.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

What You Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural mechanic in aerospace.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in structural repair and maintenance.
  • Specific skills in riveting, drilling, and fastener installation.
  • Surface Prep for Bonding, Incremental drilling for hold size for, Mechanical Assembly and Torque Specifications.
  • A clear understanding and demonstration of Screws, Rivets, Wet Bonding, Laser tracking and Metrology (a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.
  • Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.
  • Hands-on work with flight hardware, test setups, and precision instruments.
  • Availability for extended shifts during launch campaigns.
  • Availability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).

Relocation Support

  • Up to $5,000 in temporary housing (first 3 months)
