Launch - General Helper

About the role

At Stoke, we're building Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle designed to connect Earth and space efficiently. This role involves setting up a new launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, requiring a mix of construction and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide help around shop, such as sweeping/mopping, taking out trash, etc.
• Support facility maintenance by performing preventative maintenance and conducting minor repairs.
• Assist facility leaders in setting up new manufacturing and production support centers.
• Perform carpentry repairs or install new facility support hardware.
• Conduct facility safety inspections.
• Support launch operations.
• Conduct weekly safety onboarding trainings.
• Avoid waste and reduce safety risks.
• Assist in badge printing.
• Perform waste handlers’ duties.
• Work with team members and leaders to positively impact operations.
• Perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma (or equivalent) completed or in-progress
• 18+ years old
• Safety focused with safe working habits
• Knowledge in basic carpentry, electric power tools and hand tools
• Familiar with use of personal computers
• Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Familiarity with NFPA, RCRA, FDEP, CAA, CWAA
• Able to identify safety concerns and perform on the spot mitigations
• Able to assist in support of Launch Operations as part of EHS team
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lead
• Able to follow
• Able to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in using equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, & ladders
• Experience in compliance roles

Compensation

Target Levels: Level 1 Range: $22.82 - $34.18
Level 2 Range: $27.92 - $41.90
