Lateral Patrol Deputy

Responsibilities
- Respond to calls for service
- Patrol county roads, residential, and business areas
- Investigate traffic accidents
- Enforce traffic and criminal laws
Requirements
- Current Certification: Possess a Basic Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training “DPSST” certification OR other equivalent local, state or federal certification as a Police Officer or Sheriff's Patrol Deputy
- Field Training Program Completion
- At least one year of full-time equivalent (2080 hours) work experience as a Police Officer or Sheriff's Patrol Deputy, not occurring more than 12 months prior to application submission

Background Investigation
Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation, meeting the standards set by the State of Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST).
Driver's License
Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County's policy.
