About the role
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage preparation for Laser Tracker inspection by creating data analysis templates using measurement relationships and Microsoft Excel.
- Program, setup and operate Leica laser tracker; Romer arm; Manual Layout.
- Manage and track designed Tooling inspections.
- Using design data to inspect machined and received components.
- Perform first article, in-process, final inspections.
- Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
- Document Non Conformance reports as required.
- Provide inspection time estimates.
- Process improvement including inspection cycle time reductions.
- Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
- Safely work within an industrial environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
- Proficient using Hexagon Laser Tracker and Spatial Analyzer Software.
- Superior blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 and ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs.
- Desired CAD system knowledge: Creo Experience.
- Advanced machining knowledge.
- Design for Manufacturability and Producibility knowledge.
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
- Experience in Tooling design reviews to address tooling and component manufacturability on flight hardware ensuring compliance with ASME requirements.
- Knowledge of Method of Acceptance Tooling.
- Knowledge in Laser Tracker calibration per ASME B89.4.10360.2-2008.
- Excellent communication skills.
