Laser Track Techncian

About the role

As a Laser Track Technician, you will perform basic dimensional inspection and measurement tasks using portable laser tracking systems under close supervision. This role supports production, tooling verification, and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of laser tracker equipment.
• Operate laser tracker systems under supervision.
• Perform basic part inspections and collect measurement data.
• Verify fixture and tooling dimensions.
• Record data and generate basic inspection reports.
• Follow established metrology procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and calibration logs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection.
• Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing fundamentals preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong work ethic.

Travel Requirements

Travel between facilities as needed.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Weights exceeding 50 lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
