About the role
Operate CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret basic blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Demonstrate knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
- Load sheets of steel onto the laser bed using an overhead crane
- Unload finished parts from the laser machine and stage for next operations
- Monitor machine performance and report issues or defects
- Maintain a safe and organized work area by following all safety procedures and regulations
- Support production and organizational goals by taking ownership of assigned tasks and adapting to new or changing requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and overall job performance
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery preferred
- Basic understanding of metal fabrication
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience using cranes or material handling equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
