Laser Operator I - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Identifying and pulling the correct material to cut that is called out.
• Making sure that parts are cut to the most current programs and revisions, and that all paperwork is filled out correctly.
• Getting a First Piece Inspection on all parts that are cut in the department.
• Taking basic measurements of parts using measuring tools.
• Packaging parts that have been cut to go to various departments within the facility.
• Cutting and drilling holes per process back-up sheet.
• Performing set-ups per back-up sheets.
• Inspections work per back-up sheets, using micrometers, height gages, and calipers.
• Identifying and pulling the correct material.
• Accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, material, scrap, time, according to Company policy.
• Assisting in equipment maintenance.
• Calling up programs per back-up sheets.
• Performing other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Some Mechanical skills.
• Ability to be on your feet all day.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of the laser head, power supply, pulse forming network, optical system, and the movement system of the laser.
