Laser Operator (afternoon shift)

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is seeking afternoon shift Laser Operators to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. We are a state-of-the-art laser cutting, machining, and fabrication shop with modern equipment, over 100,000 square feet of production space, and a skilled team. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts that meet customer specifications.
- Read work instructions, prints, job travelers, work orders, and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment.
- Load materials, monitor the cutting process, and inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and finish.
- Measure parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and communicate issues quickly.
- Handle materials safely and follow proper lifting practices.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and production-ready.
- Support other production areas when needed.
Requirements

Previous laser, CNC, machining, fabrication, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Laser North will train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Pay
$22 – $28 per hour based on skills and experience.
Schedule
Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:30pm – 12:30am.
