• Stamping: Hot and conventional stamping (100–800 tons); automotive & industrial metals; multi-location facilities for high-volume production.
• Laser Cutting: Multi-axis laser systems for prototyping & production; flat and 3D part cutting, trimming, and hole piercing; versatile with various metals and thicknesses.
• Welding & Assembly: Spot welding for Ultra High Strength Steel & press-hardened parts; highly automated robotic cells for precision and efficiency; focused on quality, speed, and cost reduction.

Work Schedule

3rd Shift: 10:00pm–6:00am; Sunday–Thursday with overtime, Fridays and Saturdays based on business needs.

Nature and Scope

Under supervision, perform line tech duties. An Entry Level to Level One operator must be able to run a Laser Cell. Operator must be aware of safety procedures and lockout/tagout. Must be able to inspect parts correctly according to inspection procedures, fill out production tags, and complete all production-related forms (including hourly parts ran, downtime, and issues affecting efficient run). Entry Level to Level One techs and all level operators are required to maintain an efficiency rate of 85%.

Principle Accountabilities

• Under supervision, run a Laser cell per required job target.
• Execute all production and quality procedures.
• Inspect part in Gauge and understand customer packing requirements.
• Fill out tags properly.
• Maintain a clean working environment: 5S the cell (no hand prints on guarding, all garbage picked up, True Control 1000 screen clean, robot panels clear of debris on top of cabinet).
• Safety First: bring potential hazards to the production supervisor; follow lockout/tagout procedures.

Laser Operator Entry Level to Level One Accountabilities

• Run target numbers with minimum issues.
• Work with Production Supervisor to maintain production schedule and job changes.
• Maintain and 5S line.
• Assist with all job changes and organize area for production runs.
• Understand Plex to make labels.
• Understand how to check the ceramic tip for damages.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The position may involve walking and standing for long periods throughout the day. Requires being able to lift up to 40 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds. Stooping/bending/twisting is required on occasion. This job involves attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Work is performed in an office and shop environment, requiring personal protective or safety equipment. Employees work in a non-air-conditioned variable temperature factory setting and are exposed to hot and cold temperatures. High heat and high humidity are present in the plant due to the type of machinery run. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations. Usually work standard 40-hour weeks, but overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate.
