Laser Operator 1
About the role
Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Laser Operator. The Laser Operator is responsible for selectively removing material from resistors and circuits to meet customer specifications. The Laser Operator will set up, run, and maintain Laser Trim equipment.
Job Location
Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA, which is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are approximately 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operate Laser Trim machines in order to trim final electrical values of resistors, attenuators and circuits.
- Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, electrical testing, and maintaining laser machines.
- Complete work accurately by following written instructions and adhere to required safety rules.
- Must be able to learn new products quickly, work independently and be highly motivated.
What You Will Bring Along
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent required and technical understanding.
- 1+ years of machine operation and microscope experience, and understanding of measurement tools.
- Laser Trim experience preferred.
- Experience with prints/specifications and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of electrical properties and previous use of multimeters preferred.
- Ability to perform work under a microscope and able to identify defects.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
- Must be able to learn new products quickly, accomplish goals, work independently and be highly motivated.
- Attention to detail is critical for this role.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $XX - $YY per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, and skills.
Schedule
The Laser Operator works a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the production line.
