Job Summary
The Event Store Manager is responsible for supervising, training, and supporting retail teammates in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. They manage merchandise sales and maintain a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support retail teammates on effective merchandise selling practices and customer service best practices.
- Manage and monitor team member breaks/lunches in accordance with local labor laws.
- Hold team huddle at the start of each shift to communicate daily briefing notes with staff.
- Ensure merchandise locations are clean and presentable, and displays meet or exceed expectations.
- Complete throughout count in/out of all event merchandise.
- Follow planogram templates for merchandising and display of product for effective sell-through.
- Notify leadership of staffing needs and manage team member time keeping to optimize budget.
- Address and resolve problematic customer issues.
- Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide ongoing recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintenance of a risk-free environment.
- Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in retail management or event merchandise sales.
- Proven ability to abide by staff training manuals.
- Strong reputation for excellence in the required role with at least five top-notch references.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets.
- Motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
- Active problem solver with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.

- Lifts and exerts up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects to and from, including overhead lifting.
- Visual Acuity – Having close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts/details.
