Large Loss Field Adjuster - Residential Property Claims

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage personal lines complex claims from initial report to final settlement
• Conduct thorough investigations including site inspections and interviews
• Absess damages and determine coverage based on policy terms
• Collaborate with contractors and experts to gather documentation
• Negotiate settlements ensuring fair resolutions for customers
• Maintain accurate records of claims activities and keep parties updated
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices
• Provide expert advice and support to policyholders throughout the claims process
• Ensure timely completion of correspondence including critical letters and proofs
• Recognize questionable claims and risk opportunities
• Review case law to determine liability

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the property insurance industry
• 7-10 years of large loss adjusting experience
• Experience handling complex losses over $250,000
• Licenses for New Brunswick, Newfoundland and PEI preferred
• Strong construction knowledge
• Strong case law knowledge in civil code and common law provinces
• Knowledge of various property coverage wordings
• Basic accounting skills
• Superior communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent report writing skills

Pay

$100,000 – $125,000 annually

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
