Large Feline Apprentice Trainer $20-$22/HR

Responsibilities

• Safely feed, clean and perform daily husbandry of animals in Animal Care.
• Give medication to animals as directed by Supervisor.
• Record daily entries into logbook concerning animal care and behaviors.
• Back up and or walk assigned animals around park ensuring animal and guest safety.
• Handle animals in and out of the park as needed.
• Answer guest’s questions concerning animal care, diet, etc. and other general park information in a polite, courteous, and informative manner.
• Follow all department and park policies.
• Aid other team members and Departments as needed.
• Maintain equipment and enclosures as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with large animals.
• Available to work at any time of the day.
• In excellent physical condition and possesses the mental capacities to perform the essential job duties.
• Able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Physically dexterous to hold and maneuver equipment.
• Able to walk and move quickly between different areas.
• Good public speaking ability.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Awareness to work with very large strong animals.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.
