Language Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach, develop, and plan language and cultural material and programs.
• Prepare lesson plans and coursework that meet curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
• Evaluate classroom performance and provide feedback to the Cultural Director.
• Learn and pass Samala language and culture modules.
• Participate in community events, such as workshops and special events.
• Uphold a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a Certificate of Education, or a License of Education are preferred.
• Two years of previous teaching experience are preferred.
• Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email and internet.
