Responsibilities
- Teach, develop, and plan language and cultural material and programs.
- Prepare lesson plans and coursework that meet curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
- Evaluate classroom performance and provide feedback to the Cultural Director.
- Learn and pass Samala language and culture modules.
- Participate in community events, such as workshops and special events.
- Uphold a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a Certificate of Education, or a License of Education are preferred.
- Two years of previous teaching experience are preferred.
- Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email and internet.
