Language Acquisition Coach - Secondary (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge and/or experience as a trainer in the Essential Elements of Instruction, or willing to complete this requirement within one year
• Knowledge of and/or experience as a trainer in the most recent Arizona State Standards (including the Common Core Standards), or willing to complete this requirement within one year.
• Arizona Teaching Certification with Structured English Immersion (SEI) or Bilingual Endorsement (BE) or English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement.
• Azizonia IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• A Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Teaching, Educational Administration, English, or a related field, or six years of teaching experience in ESL or Bilingual classes.

Experience

• Prior to start date, proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Language Acquisition Coach.
• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students.
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement.

Benefits

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
