Responsibilities
- Maintain surroundings pristine and inviting by keeping outdoor spaces tidy.
- Trim and nurture a variety of plants to promote health and aesthetic beauty.
- Water plants manually when the sprinkler system is not functional.
- Design and maintain enchanting flower beds that captivate visitors.
- Plant vibrant species like Plumeria and Hibiscus, adding life and color to our grounds.
- Operate a leaf blower, pressure wash machine, and other landscaping and maintenance tools.
- Safely and efficiently remove trees when necessary, enhancing safety and aesthetics.
- Monitor soil quality, ensuring optimal fertilization for lush growth.
- Conduct regular irrigation checks to identify problems and shut off valves to correct issues.
- Coordinate with the Site Supervisor in the engineering department for adjustments.
- Manage inventory by restocking supplies and ensuring materials are readily available.
- Handle equipment, comfortably managing weights between 30 to 50 pounds.
- Use expertise in pesticide handling to apply treatments safely, equipped with proper PPE.
- Support the maintenance team during emergencies and contribute to preventive maintenance tasks.
- Perform painting tasks to maintain and improve the building.
- Perform other duties directed by the Site Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must pass HBM prescreen check.
- Proficient in understanding and executing verbal and written instructions in English.
- Previous experience in landscaping, hospitality, or maintenance roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of safe pesticide application and basic irrigation techniques is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical requirements
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting heavy objects (20–50 pounds).
- Engage in constant movement and stretching throughout shifts.
Pay
Hourly pay: $20.66
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Once the training period is completed, the employee must also be available for weekend shifts on either Saturday or Sunday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
