Landscaper - Hotel Valley Ho

About the role

Welcome to Hotel Valley Ho, a vibrant property in Scottsdale, Arizona, part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. As a Landscaper, you will contribute to creating a world-class guest experience through routine labor and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment in mowing specified areas including resort ground turf areas.
• Waters and fertilizes turf areas and planting beds.
• Grades and prepares soil plant beds, lays sod, and plants vegetative material.
• Affords assistance in cultivation practices dealing with all turf areas.
• Performs routine maintenance and/or renovation.
• Supports irrigation maintenance duties such as: irrigation head trimming, valve trimming, PVC pipe repairs, head leveling, and minor electrical tasks.
• Operates mechanical loaders in moving soil, debris, and other materials.
• Supports the mechanic in lubrication and minor service repairs to equipment.
• Participate as support staff on any special projects.
• Reports all abnormalities on the resort landscaping such as damage, disease, insects, debris, etc.
• Supports other departments as needed and as opportunities arise.
• Assists in all housekeeping duties of the Maintenance facility.

Requirements

• Knowledge of common landscape practices is preferred.
• Previous landscaping experience in a resort setting is a plus.
• Ability to work in extremes of heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Ability to lift 90 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to kneel and bend for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, squatting, lifting through full range.
• Working in confined spaces.
• Working at heights above 6'.
