We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated Landscaper - Hardscape to join our special projects team. This role helps maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the property with minimal supervision, ensuring all masonry work is in excellent condition across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing surfaces prior to beginning work
  • Performing small patio work, rock hounding, grading of lawns, building and repairing fences
  • Laying blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings
  • Determining work requirements and sequence of assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings
  • Laying out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels
  • Mixing cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools
  • Cutting or breaking bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and/or hand tools
  • Molding expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges
  • Operating equipment such as bobcat and cement mixer
  • Working with designers, department heads, and executives to ensure work meets requirements
  • Measuring work areas to calculate time and materials required for projects
  • Preparing surrounding areas, including covering fixtures and furniture to prevent messes
  • Cleaning up tools and supplies, replacing fixtures, and rearranging furniture after project completion
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople on larger jobs
  • Working with construction professionals such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers when necessary
  • Selecting materials based on project requirements and sourcing supplies within budget
  • Liaising with department heads and executive teams to discuss project details, budgets, and timelines
  • Consulting with other construction professionals to ensure best results and compliance with building codes
  • Reading blueprints and designs to meet building code recommendations
  • Maintaining clean, organized work areas and securely storing equipment and supplies
  • Completing reports or logs
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor
  • Performing small repairs and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 years of landscape/hardscape experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of related tools, masonry techniques, and materials
  • Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces
  • A degree or apprenticeship in landscaping with hardscape preferred
  • Working knowledge of hardscaping techniques
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Good math skills to calculate work surfaces and materials
  • Experience with hardscaping tools
  • High level of creativity and excellent design skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds continuously
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Own hardscaping tools

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of hardscaping experience, and take pride in their work.
