Landscaper / Groundskeeper

Job Summary: To maintain the outside grounds, parking area, lawns, plants, driveways, clean, attractive and pest free. Essential Functions: This role is responsible for the care and maintenance of outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas, with a strong emphasis on lawn mowing, irrigation system management, basic plumbing repairs, and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining clean, healthy, and visually appealing grounds.Job Responsibilities:· Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain a neat and professional appearance· Perform general landscaping duties including pruning, weeding, mulching, and planting· Install, inspect, and maintain landscape and lawn irrigation systems· Perform plumbing-related repairs on irrigation systems, including fixing leaks, replacing valves, repairing sprinkler heads, and adjusting water pressure· Troubleshoot and service irrigation system components such as controllers, valves, pipes, and drip lines· Adjust irrigation schedules seasonally for water efficiency and plant health· Operate, clean, and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters)· Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance on landscaping tools and small engines· Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed and in accordance with safety regulations· Perform seasonal maintenance including snow removal, leaf cleanup, and storm debris clearing· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and adhere to company safety procedures· Qualifications:· Experience with grounds maintenance and irrigation systems required; basic plumbing knowledge strongly preferred· Proficiency with mowing equipment and general landscaping tools· Understanding of irrigation system plumbing and water conservation practices· Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs· Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety, and time management skills· Valid driver’s license is required· Ability to work independently and as part of a team· Ability to lift up to 50lbsWork Environment and Physical Demands: · Work is normally performed outside and in inclement weather conditions· Lifting, bending, hand tools, operating machinery such as a mower, edger, tractor, plow, snow machine · May require working occasional overtime. · Ability to work independently and in a team environment. · Ability to plan and organize your time to keep grounds beautiful, maintained and kept according to seasonal plant needs.
