Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is the largest privately held facility services provider in North America, servicing over 180 million square feet daily. Pay

Starting pay: $22.92 per hour

Responsibilities

• Accurately record clock-in and clock-out at each location per company policy
• Perform landscaping activities including mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, sweeping, pruning, edging, picking up and removing leaf litter and debris, and general sidewalk and pathway cleanup
• During winter or storm months: remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders
• Confirm water systems are functioning correctly, ensuring proper irrigation, and perform general adjustments and/or report needed maintenance issues
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging flower beds, walks, or walls
• Safely use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes
• Ensure work performed covers all work described in the work order (contracted specifications)
• Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds
• Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, seed grass, or plant flowers or foliage
• Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, sod, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection using gardening tools
• Work as a team to perform services safely and efficiently
• Follow assigned schedule
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ensure customer questions or concerns are addressed promptly through appropriate policy channels
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience, with at least one year of proven progressive responsibility working in the field
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical safety data sheets (typically in English; may be in Spanish when required by state)
• Must maintain a valid, clean driver's license
• All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping app on personal mobile devices to clock in/out for shifts and breaks, complete required training, and receive important work information
• Cell phone reimbursement offered per applicable local law to support use of personal devices for work tasks
