About the role
Plans and executes all aspects of large commercial landscape maintenance operations for Chinook Winds Casino Resort. Maintains landscaped areas, flower beds, parking lots, and other designated areas of the property.
Responsibilities
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
- Ensure proper grounds maintenance of assigned areas.
- Operate, maintain, and clean various grounds-keeping tools and equipment.
- Mow lawns and trim/edge around walkways, flower beds, walls, and other assigned areas.
- Fertilize lawns, shrubs, and trees; assist in applying pesticides and herbicides.
- Prune trees and shrubbery; deadhead bedding plants.
- Perform weeding of flowerbeds, pathways, and other designated areas.
- Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Sweep and maintain parking lots; clean up spills; pick up trash and debris from grounds.
- Clean and maintain bus stops and underpass; pressure wash sidewalks and light poles.
- Provide assistance in maintaining departmental facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.

Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- Three years of groundskeeping or landscaping experience or equivalent.
- Experience in landscape design and development preferred.
Certificates & Licenses
- Oregon Driver’s License required.
- Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of pesticides and chemicals used to control insects, weeds, and unwanted vegetation.
- Knowledge of fertilizer application.
- Knowledge of coastal plant applications.
- Knowledge of current irrigation techniques and systems design and maintenance.
