Landscape Technician | Youngstown, Ohio

On-site position in Youngstown, OH.

Position Overview

Executes planned landscaping operations and maintains grounds and landscape of private, governmental, or business residences.

Responsibilities

• Plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, and perform other landscaping tasks.
• Diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain, and properly operate equipment.
• Complete the Davey Landscape career development books upon hire.
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping.
• Preferred: Knowledge of turf, weed, tree, and shrub identification, pathology, and physiology.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Class A or B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
