Landscape Small Engine Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engine (2-stroke and 4-stroke)
• Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
• Order and install replacement parts
• Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs clearly
• Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus)
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals
• Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or related field
• Forklift operation experience is a plus – certification provided
