Working Relationships

  • Lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, etc.), weeding, pruning, plant installation and care, possibly minor hardscape installation (concrete paver and natural stone pavements, retaining walls and other elements), material movement.

Compensation
- Hourly compensation starting at $18/ Hour, based on experience and qualifications
- This role features a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates

  • Performs a wide variety of horticultural tasks to ensure an attractive landscape and an optimal level of plant health, including weed control, certain perennial cultural practices, pruning, mowing, trimming, edging and other routine lawn-care activities (operation of lawn maintenance equipment)
  • Material movement throughout job sites including wheelbarrow, ball cart, tarps and other tools.
  • Uses hand tools including shovels, picks, rakes, etc. to dig holes for plant and hardscape elements, lawn grading, seed/sod installation and related activities.
  • Plant installation (transport, soil amendments, placement, etc.)
  • Safely operates and maintains assigned equipment; notifies team leader of any necessary repairs.
  • Aids in maintaining clean and safe job site; clean up and walk through to ensure all tasks are completed and accounts for all company equipment assigned to team.
  • Maintains professional image at all times and provides polite responses / interactions with clients.
  • Reports to work at required time effectively listen and perform assignments from team leader. May assist in equipment loading and unloading.
  • Snow removal duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications
- High school degree or GED is preferred but not required. One year of experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidate must be able to read and write.
- Some knowledge of installation and maintenance practices including pruning, weed control, lawn maintenance, plant installation, hardscape installation, etc. is preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation to shop and assigned job site, if applicable.
- Submit to background check.

Physical Demands
The physical demands outlined are examples of the type of demands the employee will encounter on the job site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

The job site conditions described below are examples of those conditions an employee encounters while performing the essential responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s pets.

Working Relationships
The employee will work closely with the Division Managers, Team Leaders, Team Members and Clients.
