Landscape Lighting Technician
Responsibilities
- Pull and bury low voltage wire (12/2, 10/2, etc.) safely and cleanly
- Mount fixtures such as path lights, uplights, tree lights, wall washes, and specialty lighting
- Climb and work comfortably on ladders up to 40 feet to install lighting in trees or on structures
- Use proper safety gear when working at height (gear provided by company)
- Perform detailed service visits: re-bury wire, replace lamps, clean fixtures, and troubleshoot system issues
- Use a multimeter to test voltage and resolve system faults
- Follow landscape plans, design drawings, and project manager instructions
- Maintain a clean and respectful jobsite presence
- Document work completed and communicate with the team as needed
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience with low voltage or landscape lighting
- Comfortable working on tall ladders (up to 40 feet) and installing in trees
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and climbing gear
- Familiarity with 12V/24V low voltage lighting systems
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, dig trenches, and work on your feet all day
- Clean, professional appearance with excellent attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in changing outdoor weather conditions
- Good communicator and team player
- Experience with brands like FX Luminaire, Coastal Source, Unique Lighting, CAST, or Kichler
- Familiarity with control interfaces like timers, photocells, Savant, or Lutron
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)

- Basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers)
- Cordless drill/driver

Pay
Hourly Pay: $21 – $27/hour (commensurate with experience and capability)
Overtime available when applicable
