Responsibilities

• Maintains the land and plant life of an 18-hole golf course.
• Mows and manicures all tees, fairways, putting greens and rough areas of an 18-hole golf course.
• Responsible for checking, removing and repairing any deterioration or hazards that include fallen trees, flooding, damaged paths, or sinkholes.
• Uses manual and power operated equipment.
• Greet guests and golfers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Providing a quality product, ensuring that golfers have a positive experience.

Requirements

• EDUCATION: High school graduate.
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience in grounds maintenance, golf course greens keeping, landscaping, farming, or other related experience.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: An associate degree or technical training in horticulture or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
