Landscape Gardener

About the role

Excellent opportunity to begin or further your career in golf course management while working on a beautiful park in Springfield, Kentucky. We are currently accepting applications for the Landscape Gardener position at Lincoln Homestead State Park.

Responsibilities

• Mowing
• Irrigation application and system maintenance
• Sand bunker maintenance
• Chemical and fertilizer applications
• Golf course set-up
• Equipment maintenance
• Landscape installation and maintenance

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate
• Experience, Training, or Skills: Two years of experience in grounds maintenance, golf course greens keeping, landscaping, farming, or other related experience. Associate degree or technical training in horticulture or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Kentucky Certified Nurseryman, Certified International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist or other trade certification will substitute for the required experience.
• Special Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Qualifications

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: An associate degree or technical training in horticulture or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A Kentucky Certified Nurseryman, Certified International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist or other trade certification will substitute for the required experience.

Skills

A motivated individual that will employ a "hands-on" approach, and someone that enjoys performing all the tasks required to present our guests with a great golfing experience.

Pay

Salary $15.14 - $22.70 Hourly
