Landscape Foreperson Experience Required

Company Information

BruZiv Landscaping LLC is a locally owned full‑service landscaping and snow‑plowing company serving the Mentor, Ohio area. The company offers year‑round work and provides a range of services including lawn maintenance, landscaping, soft‑scape work, hard‑scaping, and snow/ice management.

Responsibilities

• Direct a crew of 2‑4 crew members on daily tasks.
• Perform lawn maintenance and general landscaping duties.
• Execute soft‑scape work such as planting, mulching, and turf installation.
• Carry out hard‑scaping projects, including construction‑related tasks, outdoor lighting, and retaining walls.
• Manage snow and ice removal, operating equipment such as V‑Plows, snow‑rators, snow blowers, and salt boxes.
• Operate landscaping machinery (skid steer, tractor, walk‑behind, bed edger, zero‑turn mowers, etc.) and power/hand tools (trimmers, chainsaws, etc.).
• Install mulch, gravel, plants, and new lawn turf.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while on the job.

Skills / Requirements

• 4+ years of landscape and snow‑removal crew‑lead experience.
• 4+ years of experience operating snow‑plowing trucks or machinery.
• Exceptional attitude and ability to work as a team and lead a crew.
• Self‑motivated, reliable transportation, and willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to be on your feet for the entire workday in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts for snow removal.
• Punctual with a clean/professional appearance.
• Detail‑oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service and engagement experience.
• Mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check (no felonies).
• Clean driving record with no suspensions.
• Experience with power/hand tools (trimmers, chainsaws, etc.).
• Experience with landscaping machinery (skid steer, tractor, walk‑behind, bed edger, zero‑turn mowers, etc.).
• Experience with bed enhancements including plants, flowers, trees, mulching, new turf lawn, etc.
• Experience with mulch, gravel, plant, and lawn installation.
• Experience operating various snow equipment (V‑Plow, snow‑rator, snow blower, salt box).
• Knowledge of irrigation repair (great to have, not required).
• Knowledge of construction, outdoor lighting, and retaining walls (helpful).

Pay

$21.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Bonus pay available.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday (occasionally Saturdays).
• Weekend work required for snow removal as needed.
• Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours.
• Expected 35+ hours per week.

License / Certification

• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Clean driving record with no suspensions.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check (no felonies).
