About the role

Halff is thrilled to announce an immediate opening for a Landscape Designer to join our dynamic Planning & Landscape Architecture team in Fayetteville, AR.

Responsibilities

  • Landscape architectural and planning project support.
  • Work directly with landscape architects, engineers, surveyors, and other design support services.
  • Participate in site inventory and analysis.
  • Aid in project research and data compilation for the design process.
  • Create conceptual site planning and graphics (both hand and digital), schematic/preliminary design plans and graphics, design development and construction document plans and details.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs and develop cost opinions.
  • Prepare technical specifications for bid documents.
  • Create landscape compliance documents for land development projects.
  • Create maps and graphic renderings in support of planning projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university is required.
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, specifically in designing projects such as parks, recreation and trail planning and design, urban parks, plazas, streetscapes, transportation enhancements, land development, and providing support for large-scale planning projects.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing site analysis and conceptual design graphics/exhibits.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing construction documents.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated.
  • Strong design and graphic skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry software applications such as AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
  • ArcGIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel periodically primarily in state to support project needs.

Skills

  • Industry software applications such as AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
  • ArcGIS experience is a plus.
