Landscape Designer

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a registered Landscape Architect to assist in the development of site design projects, from concept design to construction documentation.
• Understand that assignments have specified objectives and require investigation of many variables, including site analysis, building operation, vehicular and pedestrian traffic, site grading, and storm drainage.
• Conduct site visits and analyses, and assist the project Landscape Architect with illustration of design using a combination of hand-drawn and computer-rendered graphics.
• Provide AutoCAD production support during concept and schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Photoshop experience.
