Landscape Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Landscape Designer who will collaborate closely with the firm's Landscape Architects to support and advance the design vision of each project through all phases, including construction. The Landscape Designer will contribute to the development of construction documents, schematic design, and master planning packages, and assist with technical tasks and administrative responsibilities related to project management.

The Landscape Designer must be able to manage multiple assignments concurrently, applying strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design vision of projects through all phases, including construction
• Contribute to the development of construction documents, schematic design, and master planning packages
• Assist with technical tasks and administrative responsibilities related to project management
• Collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and professionals across disciplines
• Support project teams in design implementation and technical drawing production
• Create presentation graphics, renderings, and 3D models for design exploration and final production

Requirements

• Two to three years of professional and/or internship experience in a landscape architecture or design-related setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability and environmentally sensitive design
• Familiarity with native plant material and planting design principles
• Basic understanding of hardscape materials, construction methodologies, and landscape detailing
• Working knowledge of the design process—from concept development through construction documentation

Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with parametric modeling and/or Revit (a plus)
• Experience with computational design plug-ins like Land Kit or Grasshopper (a plus)
• Familiarity with GIS tools (a plus)
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as the Living Building Challenge, LEED, and the Sustainable Sites Initiative (a plus)
