Landscape Crew Leader

Responsibilities

• Cook up a high-performing 3-4 member offsite crew, nurturing a culture of safety and efficiency through consistent adherence to established work methods.
• Mentor and train team members and leaders-in-training to achieve collective success and exceed client expectations.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
• Safely transport crew and equipment to job sites.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in the landscape industry, preferably in a maintenance/garden environment.
• Demonstrate acceptable level of basic plant recognition and horticultural knowledge.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operation, including but not limited to, all lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers, pruning shears, etc.).
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety and practicing safe work behaviors.
• Provide clear written and verbal instructions.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Experience in a leadership role would be advantageous.

Pay

Position Range: $19.00 - $21.00 p/h
