Job Description

At Oxbow Pool and Landscape Contractors, our Project Managers lead and oversee our residential landscape construction projects, working with internal and external teams and clients to develop a plan, create a project time frame, distribute resources, and ensure timely completion.

  • Interacting with crews, homeowners, general contractors, landscape architects, & subcontractors
  • Obtaining quotes and purchasing materials (stone, concrete, lumber, lighting, plants, etc.)
  • Estimating & change orders
  • Scheduling with subcontractors & construction crews
  • Tracking job costs vs estimated costs
  • Bi-monthly billing
  • Submitting as-builts and project close-out

Skills And Experience

Desired

  • Residential and/or Landscape Construction Project Management experience: 3-5 years (Required)
  • Literate in: blueprints, scope of work, and specifications docs.
  • Microsoft Office suite use - must be comfortable using Excel
  • Time management; Work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • An interest in landscaping -- if you do not have experience in landscaping, please demonstrate your interest in a cover letter.

Education

Education: Bachelor's (Strongly Preferred) or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Language

Language: English (Required) and Spanish (preferred)

Work Location

Work Location: In person at the office in Napa with occasional site visits in Napa, Sonoma, and Marin counties.

Typical Working Conditions

Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed both in office and outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public.

  • Frequent use of company car, cell phone, copier and printer, standard office electronics and laptop.

Essential Physical Tasks

  • Frequently sit for extended periods;
  • Stand and walk or crouch on uneven surfaces and may occasionally be required to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance;
  • Stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects, office equipment, plants, or tools;
  • Physical ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance;
  • Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination;
  • Corrected hearing and vision to normal range;
  • Verbal communication;
